Interview with DJ DALI K, April 2nd 2023
In this exclusive interview, we sit down with Tel Aviv’s very own Dali, a DJ and Producer who has been making music for over 10 years. How did your music career begin?
My music career began in my bedroom at 14 years old.
The story starts with a kid that was curious about electronic music. Every day, that kid was waiting to finish his day at school so he could revisit the computer to create music.
One day, my parents heard me making music in my bedroom, and they were like, “if you make music, why don’t you also throw parties?” At that moment, the beautiful journey of DJ DALI officially began.
From the first party, I knew that’s what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. The fact that you connect with different people on the same dancefloor was like magic for me. I could contribute to the community and connect people through music and art.
As the years went by, I realized that to be a DJ or a musician also means to be a businessman, and this means you need to develop skills other than music skills. But more importantly, curiosity & discipline are necessary for things to be achievable.
Other than music, what is your passion, obsession, or something in your daily life that you simply can’t do without?
As far as I’ve known, sport is one of the most effective ways to keep everything in life in balance. Recently, I’ve started taking sports seriously, and it’s really helpful and gives me a place to disconnect from the rest of my daily activities.
